How is the Market doing so Far in 2007?

Hello – thanks for stopping by! This year has been a FAST BREAKING YEAR!!! I know this is amazing to hear after all that negative press you’ve been reading. But I am here to report to you that real estate is on a “roll”. Certainly not in every neighborhood – but in the area’s I work – Raleigh, North Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Apex, Morrisville, and Holly Springs – we are selling homes and lots of them. This year’s January figures are higher that 2006 figures for our office and 2006 first quarter figures were phenomenal.

So the question is how can YOU and your family make all this real estate action in the Triangle work to your advantage? How will YOU prosper by coming here and reading my blog and keeping up to date on the latest market happenings? Answer: by doing a little planning NOW – you can learn and grow your real estate investment. Please remember that the American home is most families largest financial investment AND their largest asset. So go ahead and throw that money into the stock market if you want – but my money is on real estate and what it is going to do right here in the Triangle in the next 5 years.

Did you know that there is a prediction of a “SHORTAGE OF HOMES” in the year 2010? You can make that work for you by judging if you are likely to move up to a more expensive home in the next 1 to 2 years. If you think this is a high probability – DO IT NOW. Interest rates are low and many predict that we are in the slowest market we are likely to have between now and the year 2010. So make that work for you by selling your smaller home and buying up at current rates. If you wait for your smaller home to appreciate – it will appreciate. But it is not likely to appreciate in value as much as your targeted move up home.

Even high end homes (that have been slow for a while) are selling and moving off the market. Our high end market, over 1 million, is just starting to creep into the 2 million + range. Other markets are so much higher than our current high end price range. Look for high end homes in the Triangle to grow even higher in price the next year or so.

Please stop by often and e-mail me with any real estate questions. I would love to hear from you.
