Beat your neighbor to the market this Spring!

 

Hey this is Marti Hampton with Remax One Realty, and I want to tell you happy January! It’s mid January in the Triangle and its 70 degrees and there’s trees out there that are in full bloom — I think they are confused — I think they think it’s spring! And guess what? So does the real estate market. The real estate market is reacting exactly the same way.

I think Americans have gone through a lot in the past few months. We’ve gone through an election, we’ve gone through the fiscal cliff. I think now is time that people are getting focused again on how to make their own personal breakthroughs in 2013 and how to go forward with their goals. Now is the right time for many homeowners to overcome the obstacle that real estate has presented to them during the downterm.

You know, maybe you had your home on the market and it didn’t sell, or maybe you just didn’t even put your home on the market because you knew the market was flat. Well listen very carefully — this year will be different! Now is the time to put your home on the market. I want to tell you that to sell and move to a position where you’ll be better off than you are presently is a very good move, and the timing is very important. Right now you have not missed your window of opportunity. But have you ever heard “strike while the iron is hot” or maybe even “seize the day”? You know real estate doesn’t wait for your timing, it has a timing and tempo all of its own. And I know what you would like, you’d like to maybe put your home on the market in March or April when the grass is really green and the little flowers are coming up and the birds are singing and the sky is blue. However, real estate doesn’t react to your timing. It has a time, a pulse, and a heartbeat all of its own. That’s what I’m trying to give you — the opportunity is to take advantage of that because you know your neighbors’ house is probably going to go on the market this year. You’re going to have a lot of competition. I want you to be the first in line to get your home sold in this brand new market of 2013.  You know we’re going to help more homeowners sell their previously owned home than any other team in the Triangle.
