In the homeowner’s words:
There is a grand entrance as you enter the house, which opens into the living room, a study, and the dining room on either side. The open layout of the house, along with the high ceilings, attracted us to the home in the first place.
The ceilings are 10′ tall, and there is specially designed molding in each of the spacious rooms. The wall-to-wall French windows brings wonderful light into the house, and adds to the spacious feel throughout the home.
The kitchen has top of the line granite counter tops, beautiful chandeliers, surround sound, as well as a wet bar area. The kitchen and the dining areas open into a beautifully designed patio that offers an excellent view of the backyard.
The second floor has 4 bedrooms; all of the rooms including the guest room are large and all of the bedrooms have over-sized closet spaces with attached bathrooms.
In The Neighborhood
As I sip my glass of Riesling I am reminded of our wonderful neighborhood, truly a hidden jewel in Cary. The Stanton Place community is comprised of professionals from all walks of life including doctors, engineers and corporate professionals. I loved the sight of children playing on the sidewalks and the confidence we parents had in the safety of Felspar Way.
I absolutely loved the fact that we are a stones throw from Lifetime Fitness. Shopping is a breeze with Whole foods and Trader Joe’s being a few miles within the our radius. One of my favorite haunts was the French cafe Fresca’s, right next to Whole Foods. Their tomato basil soup and the chicken pesto sandwich are amazing and the gelatos and desserts are a highlight of each trip. Tazikis was another popular restaurant of my neighborhood friends and Waverley place comes to life live on Friday and Saturday evenings with live music and a variety of cuisines. Lucky32, Chef’s Palette, and Peak City Grill were some of my other favorite neighborhood restaurants.
In the vicinity of the neighborhood, is the famous Downtown Historic district of Apex with the 19th century Tobacco Mule building. Some of my Fall afternoons as I waited for the children to get back back from school, were spent window shopping and browsing through the antique shops and boutiques on Salem street. Salem street has a number of famous restaurants, including Sushi IWA and J&S New York Pizza…yum!
Our schools are some of the best in the Triangle area; Penny Road Elementary. Both of our children study there and are extremely happy with the school. With the above par academics, it is more along the lines of a private school. The teachers are outstanding and the parents very involved.
The high school Middle Creek High has outstanding results and is part of Wake County’s STEM Schools Collaborative. The Wake County Public School System STEM Schools Collaborative is a group of schools dedicated to enhanced strategic planning, professional development, programming and community advocacy around science, technology, engineering and math. The school has been the recipient of several awards.
