We decided to build on Macon Ridge in 2006 primarily for the location in North Raleigh, which is convenient to RTP and local shopping without being too far from “town”. The lot size was perfect, providing some physical distance from neighbors, without being too distant to know neighbors well, and areas for gardening.
Our builder provided terrific quality, energy efficient construction, such that in building our new home, we went directly back to him without considering anyone else.
We love the open-floor plan with the sun room being the favorite of ours and our guests. All other rooms have provided more than ample space for all our needs.
We also enjoy the patio and fire pit areas. The storage areas (both walk-in attics and the air-conditioned crawlspace) are the envy of many and will definitely be requirements in our new house.
