The Wakefield community is within the Raleigh, North Carolina city limits but the setting is the gorgeous North Raleigh  country side giving you the best of both country living and city amenities. It’s located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina; midway between the Carolina coast and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

It’s located in the north portion of the city and is contiguous to the town of Wake Forest. It is a master planned development of estate homes, executive homes and townhouses that are anchored by a well-known golf course.

The location is suburban and peaceful but also an easy commute to the Research Triangle Park.  RTP is a major center for research and development and is headquarters for different nationally known corporations.

RTP is strategically located between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and North Carolina State University.

Wakefield’s students compete (Go Wakefield Wolverines! ) in the NCHSAA 4A classification in the CAP 8conference (through 2899). Wakefield’s biggest rivalry in sports is with the cross-town Wake Forest Cougars. Another big rival is the Millbrook Wildcats.
